Restricted Regions

Chatple is not available to people located in, resident in, or organised under the laws of the regions below, or to anyone on a sanctions list. Stock rooms have a longer list, which includes the United States.

1. Not available anywhere in the Service

  • Cuba (CU)
  • Iran (IR)
  • North Korea (DPRK) (KP)
  • Syria (SY)
  • Crimea, and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, and other Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine
  • Russia (RU) — sanctions-related restrictions
  • Belarus (BY) — sanctions-related restrictions

You also may not use Chatple if you, or anyone you act for, are named on or owned or controlled by someone named on a sanctions list, including the U.S. Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List and other OFAC lists; the United Nations Security Council Consolidated List; the EU Consolidated List of persons, groups and entities subject to financial sanctions; the UK HM Treasury (OFSI) Consolidated List; New Zealand's Russia Sanctions Act 2022 register and sanctions under the United Nations Act 1946.

2. Stock rooms: additional restrictions

Stock rooms pair a meme token with a third-party tokenized stock (xStock) whose issuer does not offer it to US persons and whose distributors exclude several other countries. Stock rooms are not available to US persons wherever they are located, or to anyone located in:

  • United States (US)
  • Canada (CA)
  • United Kingdom (GB)
  • Australia (AU)
  • Cuba (CU)
  • Iran (IR)
  • North Korea (KP)
  • Syria (SY)
  • Russia (RU)
  • Belarus (BY)

"US person" includes US citizens and residents (including green-card holders), anyone located in the United States, and entities organised in the United States, as well as anyone acting for them.

3. How we apply this

  • We may block access, launches or trades based on the country associated with your IP address, and may screen wallets against sanctions data.
  • These checks are not complete. You are responsible for not using the Service where you are not allowed to, and using a VPN or similar tool to get around them breaches our Terms.
  • We may close access and withhold payouts linked to restricted persons or regions where the law requires.
  • We update this list as laws and sanctions change. The version and effective date at the top of this page show when it last changed. Questions: hello@chatple.com.
